Biden ATF pick David Chipman alarms gun rights groups

Gun rights groups are expressing concern over President Biden’s decision to name gun-control advocate David Chipman to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The White House on Wednesday confirmed Chipman, who was an ATF special agent for 25 years and serves as senior policy adviser to gun-violence prevention group Giffords, as the president’s ATF pick.
