A new report has said 5G subscriptions will hit 660 million globally in 2021, even as Nigeria and other sub-Saharan Africa are currently missing out on the technological advancement.
This was disclosed by Ericsson in its ‘Mobility Report: November 2021.’
According to the company, North East Asia has the highest 5G subscriptions in 2021, while SSA has no subscriptions yet.
It said discernible volumes of 5G subscriptions would begin in the region from 2022.
