Recall that the High Court had fixed Friday November 18 for hearing of the suit which also has the Director-General (DG) of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar, as a defendant.

Kanu, through Ejimakor, had filed a writ of summons marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1702/222.

The application, dated and filed on September 23, listed Malami and Abubakar as 1st and 2nd defendants respectively.

Ejimakor challenged the manner of Kanu’s arrest in Kenya, and also called his continued incarceration a violation of human rights.
