FCT police uninformed about NLC mass protest amid economic hardship

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command denies knowledge of the organized labor’s planned nationwide protest against worsening economic hardship on February 27 and 28.

Despite the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) mobilizing members for the protest, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, asserts they haven’t been informed of any planned protest. Adeh emphasizes the command’s commitment to preventing a breakdown of law and order during the protest, stressing measures to deter potential disruptions by hoodlums.

The protest stems from concerns over the escalating cost of living, particularly affecting civil servants.
