The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to resume the trial of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu on terrorism charges starting February 26.
This decision follows a Supreme Court ruling allowing the continuation of Kanu’s trial on seven remaining charges. The trial will proceed before Justice Binta Nyako at the Federal High Court in Abuja. Kanu’s lead counsel, Mike Ozekhome, and the AGF’s office have been notified.
The DSS has been contacted to produce Kanu in court. Despite previous legal twists, the Supreme Court upheld the trial’s continuation, citing no legal basis for quashing the charges due to Kanu’s extradition.
