Alhassan Doguwa, chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), has renewed his appeal to Nigerians to avoid participating in the planned protest over the country’s current issues.
“Tell our youths that protesting is not the answer. They should pray for their leaders. No responsible person should protest something founded on deceit,” Mr. Doguwa stated.
He continued, “I acknowledge there is hardship. We represent the people and are doing our best to find solutions. Since this hardship began almost 16 years ago, it cannot be resolved in just one year. People should not be misled into participating.”
Mr. Doguwa made these remarks in an interview in Abuja on Tuesday. He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu is diligently working to tackle the nation’s challenges.
