Nigeria and China, on Tuesday, committed to strengthen bilateral relations as leaders of the two countries met in Beijing.
THEWILL reports that President Tinubu and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on Tuesday, held bilateral talks at the Great Hall in Beijing. Their meeting preceded the 2024 summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) scheduled for September 4 to 6 2024.
While President Jinping declared his readiness to work closely with the Nigerian leader to advance China-Africa cooperation, President Tinubu, on his part, acknowledged the long-standing China-Nigeria relations and the potential for strengthened trade and economic development.
The Nigerian leader recalled that the visit marked his second trip, first as governor of Lagos and now as President.
