Edo State governor Godwin Obaseki lost the Oredo Local Government Area to the All Progressives Congress (APC), with APC candidate Monday Okpebholo polling 30,780 votes, while PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo secured 24,938 votes. Labour Party candidate Olumide Akpata received 5,389 votes. The results were announced at the State Collation Centre in Benin.
