Two Nigerian students win gold at Mathematics Olympian

THIS DAY 

Two Nigerian Students –  Esemitodje Oghenerukevwe Patrick and Uwakfon Nyon Jacob – have won Gold at this year’s Pan African Mathematics Olympiad, (PAMO) and International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO).

The two students had represented the country at this year’s competition, where they emerged overall best.

The competition had 54 African country participating, only eight countries won Gold which included Nigeria.

Other countries that won Gold at the competition were: Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.

In his reaction to the victory communicated to the media via a congratulatory message, the Managing Director, Nigerian Tulip International College NTIC, Mr. Feyzullah Bilgin, extended congratulations to the National Mathematical Centre (NMC), Nigeria, and the exceptional students who achieved gold medals at this year’s PAMO (Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad) in Rwanda, 2023…
