DAILY STAR

If I were to tell you I went for an intimate dinner with my boyfriend and an ex, you’d probably think I’m unhinged.

And schmoozing with a booty call at the same time won’t do your usual monogamous relationship much good either. However, that’s how I spent one of my recent Saturday evenings.

But get your mind out of the gutter – as this was not some awkward foursome. It was a mouth-watering delight that got my taste buds tingling at every moment.

That’s because ‘The Ex, ‘The Booty Call’ and the ‘Catfish’ are some of the names of the dishes for the romantic yet playful collaboration between Hithe + Seek, the Thames-side restaurant in The Westin hotel, and wine connoisseur Hannah Crosbie, founder of Dalston Wine Club.

Boasting spectacular views one of London’s iconic landmarks, the Globe Theatre, the restaurant has both an opulent yet intimate feel – perfect for the dating-themed small sharing plates and wine pairings ahead.

Not only was it a play on words, but also a play on texture and presentation that left my eyes and mouth guessing until I swallowed. On the menu, the ‘Catfish’ is described as ‘torched king oyster mushroom “Scallops”, oyster leaf and parsnip puree’.
