A contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire was left red-faced when he called his wife for the ‘Phone a Friend’.
The show was in chaos after another man picked up the pgone. The show, hosted by Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson, is known for its jaw-dropping moments.
Over the years, we’ve seen contestants lose big money, while others have won the jackpot. But science teacher JP Morgan was left scratching his head when he phoned his wife for help with a £16,000 question.
The question was “Which of these days is part of the weekend in Germany? ” The options were A) Donnerstag, B) Mittwoch, C) Sonntag, or D) Dienstag.
Back in 2020, when he appeared on the show, Morgan said: “My wife’s auntie has lived in Germany for over 50 years, my wife’s been there a few times. My wife, who at different times would probably have been in the audience, is at home as one of my Phone a Friends.”
“Can we call Elizabeth? ” asked Jeremy. When a man answered the phone, Jeremy joked: “That was another man just answered your phone, relax, relax, it could be completely innocent.”
