Man trapped in plane bathroom for 35 minutes rescued as pilot comes out to help

DAILY STAR

A passenger named Brent found himself trapped in a plane toilet for 35 minutes, and it was the pilot who came to his rescue leaving other passengers wondering who was flying the plane.

Brent was on a domestic flight in the US, from Salt Lake City to New Orleans. He went to use the bathroom while his wife looked after their two young children. As time ticked by, his wife began to wonder if he was taking ‘longer than needed’ just to get a break from their two lively kids, aged two and four.

It was only when ten minutes had passed and the children started to become restless, with the four year old asking where his dad was. The wife shared her story on Reddit, saying: “I heard a flight attendant say the word ‘stuck’.”

“Something clicked and I said, ‘Excuse me, is there someone stuck in the bathroom? ‘ ‘Yes’, she said. ‘The door is jammed, and someone is stuck in there’. I said, ‘… I think that’s my husband! ‘ My attention turned to the back of the plane, where sure enough, two Delta flight attendants were trying to open the bathroom door to free my trapped husband.

Soon, the two flight attendants (both women) asked a random male passenger to help try to unjam the door. He tried his best, but it was no use.”, reports the Mirror. She revealed that her husband had been gone for 20 minutes and was now “stuck in a 3.5 x 5ft pee and poop box”.
