A former teacher-turned-porn star has opened up about the moment she decided to leave her job.
Courtney Tillia was once a special educational needs teacher for children with autism. While she found the job rewarding emotionally, she claims she was barely scraping by on the pay for it.
The 36-year-old, from Arizona, US, made plans to advance her career with a PhD. However, her employer said they wouldn’t increase her pay to compensate her for achieving the qualification.
Tillia appeared on a recent episode of Dr. Phil to talk about her career as an OnlyFans model when she made the revelation. She said: “While I was going to school to get my PhD, the president of the school came up to me and she’s like, ‘Courtney, we are so proud of you, but we will not be paying you for that.’
“And that was one of the moments where I was like, ‘what am I? What am I doing? Like I’m barely able to survive.'”
After that, she changed her life for the better after turning to OnlyFans as a full-time career, earning nearly £1million through three accounts on the adult content-sharing platform. She claims it would have taken her 25 years to earn what she currently has through teaching.
