A former prisoner who transformed her life after meeting Kate Middleton opened up about inappropriate relationships on the inside.
Francesca Fattore spoke after calling it “disgustingly unfair” that an officer who bonked a lag and smuggled him drugs escaped a prison sentence.
But she has now revealed that officers and inmates got intimate during her time in UK prisons after being sentenced to three years and eight months for drug offences.
The content creator also shared how such encounters were leaked and offered her opinion on why both male and female officers can be attracted to criminals.
Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: “Yeah that happened quite a few times when I was inside. Prisoners would confide in their best friend but then they would tell their best friend and it would spread around the prison.”
Francesca continued: “I actually think that the men just don’t care and have no morals but they hire such young females that they haven’t lived and they can’t help but fall for prisoners.
“They get to know us inside and out comes the good, the bad, the tantrums so it is like working with someone. If you fall for them, you fall for them but they are so young they have no self control or again morals to know it’s bloody wrong to pursue it.”
Who is Francesca?
Francesca grew up in a loving family home in Reading and her future looked bright – until drugs destroyed it.
She was a teenager when she started taking cannabis and ecstasy but this eventually progressed to heroin and crack after she became an addict.
And after the addiction took a perilous grip on her life, she became a drug dealer, because it meant she could get her own supply for free (while also earning cash).
Aged 31, she was then hauled to court for selling drugs, before she was again arrested on drug offences six years later. She ended up in prison on the same wing as one of Britain’s most evil woman – but an encounter with Kate Middleton changed her life.
She met the Princess of Wales who visited her when she was in HMP Send in Surrey as a reward for completing a 12-week rehab programme.
She spoke to the Mirror about how “genuine and sincere” Kate was before adding: “Having the privilege to sit with her inspired me to keep going and made me realise I was on the right path. She made me feel worthy and the experience left me on cloud nine. The video was also posted on the Kensington Royal social media accounts and I was the talk of the prison for weeks which was a really nice feeling.”
Francesca now runs an organisaion called UkExFemalePrisoner which aims to be a safe space for former female criminals who she creates opportunities for.
Bonking officer avoids jail
Amber Clavell, 25, avoided jail after sleeping with an inmate and smuggling him drugs in her bra.
She was instead sentenced to community service – something Francesca felt was unfair. The mum-of-two slept with convicted robber Michael Kennedy and got pregnant with his child at Geoffrey Pearce Correction Centre, Sydney, Australia.
Their relationship took place earlier this year when she smuggled 33g of crystalline methamphetamine, which she stuffed inside balloons – despite being a program and services officer in the jail’s intensive drug and alcohol treatment. She also hid tobacco in her bra.
After her sentencing, Francesca told us: “This is crazy. How the hell do they get away with stuff? If we got caught with a phone or drugs in prison we would get an extra charge and days added. Yet she walks away prison free.
“It is disgustingly unfair. If I got caught with a phone I would have got an extra prison sentence yet they know damn well half of the phones come in through the officers and they get away with this.
