A gunman opened fire at a restaurant in southern Montenegro, killing at least 10 people, including two children, before turning the weapon on himself. The shooter, who also killed members of his own family, died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds after police surrounded him. Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from disturbed interpersonal relations, with no connection to organized crime.

A gunman who killed at least 10 people, including two children, in a shooting spree in southern Montenegro on Wednesday died after shooting himself, police said.
Police surrounded the shooter and when they commanded him “to lay down his weapon, he shot himself in the head,” police chief Lazar Scepanovic told reporters. “An attempt was made to transport him to a clinical centre but he succumbed to his injuries in the meantime.”
The gunman killed at least 10 people, including two minors, in a village restaurant in southern Montenegro, near the town of Cetinje.
The suspect “took the lives of at least 10 people, two of whom were minors,” Interior Minister Danilo Saranovic told journalists.
