A 27-year-old Nigerian woman, Patricia Masithela, tragically lost her life after being mauled by a pack of starving dogs in Latina, Italy, on Monday night. The incident occurred while Patricia was visiting a male acquaintance at his abandoned villa in the Lazio region. It was reported that Patricia, who had recently moved to Lazio from Nigeria, arrived at the villa unaware that her friend was not at home.
Patricia’s screams alerted nearby residents to the savage attack. She was discovered critically injured, with deep bite wounds across her body and lying in a pool of blood. Police responded to the scene and shot two of the dogs to allow emergency responders access to the victim. The remaining dogs fled after the gunfire.
Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to Santa Maria Goretti Hospital, Patricia succumbed to her injuries due to severe bite wounds and blood loss. Her tragic death has left her family, including a five-year-old daughter, in deep grief.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack, focusing on how the pack of starving dogs came to be in the area.
