Ebonyi Governor, David Umahi says evil men are currently in the state to kill Nigerians.
He revealed this on Monday in Abakaliki at a prayer session organized by the government for God’s intervention on insecurity.
Umahi said though he was advised to suspend projects’ inspection, he would continue to do so.
“God has not given us the spirit of fear and I ask: who is there to stop me?”, NAN quoted him as saying.
“We will walk the streets of Abakaliki without security, I will become sick if I don’t go for projects’ inspection,” he said.
The governor who claimed the average person in Ebonyi was happy with his administration said those who accuse him of non-performance only want a share of public funds.
The Ebonyi helmsman appealed to the people to shun all forms of violence and bitterness.
“Evil men have infiltrated our state to kill, maim and kidnap but God would deliver us”, he added.
