Civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to fire the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (rtd); as well as the National Secretary Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.).
According to the group, the three members of the presidential cabinet have failed in terms of suppressing the security challenges plaguing the nation.
National Coordinator of HURIWA, Emmanuel Onwubiko, made this known in a chat with The PUNCH on Wednesday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Buhari sacked the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammed Nanono (Kano State); and his Power counterpart, Saleh Mamman (Taraba State), according to presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina.
Adesina also announced that the Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abubakar, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Agriculture while the Minister of State for Works, Abubakar Aliyu is to take over as Minister of Power.
