Adeyanju said politicians pushing for an extension of the deadline are interested in vote-buying.
In a chat with DAILY POST, Adeyanju wrote: “I stand with Godwin Emefiele on January 31st deadline of new currency. The politicians fighting this are just interested in vote buying.”
Adeyanju’s remark is coming after the Senate appealed to the apex bank to extend the mop-up of old naira notes to 31st July 2023.
The senate through an adopted resolution arrived at the new deadline after a thorough debate.
