Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, better referred to as Sunday Igboho, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Fulani herdsmen in the South-West region.
Igboho calls on DSS, police to investigate killing of farmers in Oyo, Ogun
Igboho ordered the herders to vacate the region, as he reacted angrily to the killings of some farmers in Oyo and Ogun states, Vanguard reported.
The self-determination activist also tasked security agencies to fish out and prosecute herders, who allegedly attacked farmers in Iwere-Ile, Oyo State, and some communities in Ogun State, recently.
Igboho, in a statement, insisted that the farmers in Yorubaland and in any part of Nigeria deserve safety from criminal herders and others who will not allow them farm in peace, The Punch reported.
He called on security operatives to, as a matter of urgency, curtail the resurgence of suspected Fulani herdsmen in Oyo state and beyond.
The activist commended Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and his counterparts in Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for their efforts in ensuring peace and healthy developments in their respective states.
