UCH Resident Doctors Initiate Warning Strike Following Assault Incident

Members of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan have commenced a three-day warning strike in response to an assault on one of their colleagues by a patient’s relative.

In a statement issued by the President and Vice-President of ARD-UCH Ibadan, Dr. John Oladapo and Dr. Sunday Adegbite, they expressed their demand for a public apology to be published in two widely-read national newspapers. Additionally, they insisted on an acknowledgment of wrongdoing by the perpetrators.

Furthermore, the association’s members have called for an improvement in the security infrastructure of the hospital to prevent similar incidents in the future.
