Nigeria raises minimum wage to N70,000 in landmark decision

In a historic move, President Bola Tinubu has officially approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers.

The decision, which aims to boost the financial well-being of workers across the nation, was made public via Presidential Spokesman Bayo Onanuga on his X handle.

In addition to this significant increase, President Tinubu has also vowed to review the national minimum wage law every three years in order to ensure that workers are being paid a fair and livable wage.
