President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken bold strides in bolstering the welfare and well-being of Nigerian workers, submitting a bill to the House of Representatives to formalize the newly agreed ₦70,000 minimum wage. President Tinubu’s letter, read on the House floor, highlights his administration’s commitment to ensuring the immediate benefits of the new wage.
In a similar move, the President also proposed an amendment to the Nigeria Police Act, seeking to refine the appointment and tenure of the Inspector General of Police in accordance with the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
