The Senate has requested more time for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the demands and grievances of Nigerians regarding the country’s current situation.
Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, communicated the Senate’s position after a closed-door meeting, urging those planning the August 1st protest to be patient and allow the president more time to improve the country’s condition.
“This protest is scheduled for tomorrow, August 1, 2024, and I kindly urge you to understand that one year is not enough for the policies being implemented by President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s administration to produce the desired results,” he stated.
