A minor slumped inside a Federal High Court, Abuja, courtroom on Friday morning.

The child — one of the over 20 children arraigned for their roles in the August #EndBadGovernance protest — fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

Abiodun Sanusi, a journalist and Take It Back Movement member, shared a video of the incident on X.

Sanusi claimed the judge exited the courtroom after the incident.

FIJ texted Deji Adeyanju, a counsel to one of the minors. Adeyanju confirmed the incident and said he was in court when it happened.

FIJ earlier reported how Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), arraigned no fewer than 25 minors for alleged terrorism in August after they participated in the protest. Egbetokun secured remand warrants to keep them in custody for over 60 days.

On Friday, several social media users described the minors they saw on trial as malnourished.
