A controversial United Kingdom-based pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, has dismissed claims by the leader of the British Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, that Nigeria is a country that drives its citizens to engage in questionable behaviours.
Badenoch, who had been trolling Nigeria before becoming leader of the UK opposition party, made the allegation during an interview with a UK journalist.
She also accused the Nigerian Police of robbing the masses they took oath to protect.
However, Adegboyega, whose SPAC Nation was recently shut down by the British Government over allegations of mismanaging £1.87m in church funds, faulted her claims, saying nowhere is safe in the world.
The cleric made the statement when he was featured as a guest on Monday’s edition of Channels Television’s Politics Today
He said, “I completely disagree with that statement. Between 2023 and 2024, about 78,000 bags and phones were snatched in London and the UK alone. There’s a very strong Nigerian black community in this nation.
“For people like the leader of the opposition (party) you just mentioned to get to that position, they’ve been fighting on the street. There were funerals where kids were killed in the UK. They buried three kids from the same parents.
