The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Commissioner, Tunji Disu, has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support his family has received following the tragic loss of his ‘son,’ Adams.
In a heartfelt statement released on Sunday, Commissioner Disu extended his appreciation to family, friends, and well-wishers who have stood by the family during this difficult time. He acknowledged the numerous calls, visits, and messages of condolence that have provided solace to his grieving family.
“We are truly grateful for the overwhelming love and support following the loss of our beloved son, Adams. Your calls, visits, and heartfelt messages have provided us with comfort and strength,” the statement read.
He further thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers, emphasizing how much the kindness and empathy shown to his family mean to them during this period of mourning.
SaharaReporters broke news of Adam’s death on Tuesday and exclusively reported that he was alone in a BMW when he tragically died in a horrific car accident on Monday.
Sources told SaharaReporters that Adam was an adopted son of the FCT police commissioner and had been raised by the police chief since he was two.
“Adam was not his (Tunji Disu’s) biological son but he raised him since he was two years old. Adam was 33 years old and had just completed his NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) programme last year,” one of the sources said.
“He died in a ghastly auto accident while drive alone in BMW car,” another source said.
“The car caught fire as it rolled over after entering a ditch.”
Family sources described the loss as heartbreaking.
Disu recently assumed leadership of the FCT Police Command.
The news of his adopted son’s demise sparked an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends, and the general public.
