THE TIMES OF ISRAEL
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has officially rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for direct negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. However, Pezeshkian indicated that Iran remains open to “indirect negotiations,” suggesting that diplomatic channels are not entirely closed.
This decision highlights ongoing tensions between Tehran and Washington, especially as Iran continues to enrich uranium to levels close to weapons-grade. Both the U.S. and Israel have expressed strong opposition to Iran acquiring nuclear weapons, raising concerns about potential military confrontations.
