A one-year-old baby boy was eaten by a crocodile despite his father’s attempts to fight off the 11ft beast during a horrifying attack.
The aggressive reptile lunged out of the water and grabbed the infant as his 45-year-old dad Moherat was tying up their boat at a beach on the coast of Borneo.
Emergency services were called at approximately 10.30am yesterday (Thursday, December 1) after traumatised witnesses watched on as the crocodile attacked the father and son in Lahad Datu – a town in the Malaysian part of the island.
Fire and rescue chief Sumosoa Rashid told how Moherat was rescued by members of the public after suffering severe injuries to his head and body that are being treated at Lahad Datu Hospital.
