Pele’s 1958 and 1962 World Cup winning team-mate Garrincha is thought to have lost his virginity to a goat – before going on to father at least 14 kids of his own.
Full name Manuel Francisco dos Santos, Garrincha was born in Rio de Janeiro in October of 1933 and would sadly go on to inherit his father’s alcohol problem as a boy.
Garrincha, who stood 5ft 6in in adulthood and had one leg six centimetres shorter than the other, is widely reported to have lost his virginity to a goat in his early teens.
Going on to put his football skills to good use, Garrincha spent most of his career with Botafogo and became a key player for his country in the build-up to the 1958 World Cup.
Going on to taste victory alongside the teenage Pele, Garrincha then stole the show in 1962 from the injured star by winning both the Golden Ball and Golden Boot.
