DAILY STAR
Social media users have been left baffled after a video of the ‘World’s tallest cow‘ resurfaced online — and it’s as tall as basketball star Michael Jordan.
Knickers, the super-sized steer first shot to fame in 2019 – measuring 194cm tall and weighing close to a whopping one and a half tonnes.
Farmer Geoff Pearson, from Western Australia, received more than 115 phone calls from reporters the day after the story aired.
The clip, which was taken from a 7news broadcast and shared on Twitter, has since gained more than 5.2million views with people flocking to the comments to share their amazement at the beasts’ size.
One user quipped: “That’s udderly ridiculous.”
Another added: “Holy cow!”
A third commented: “What a beast.”
However, some struggled to believe that the massive steer was real as they suggested it was CGI.
But there has been an explanation as to why the cow grew to be so big as Min Du, who researches growth biology at Washington State University, told LiveScience that it could be a mutation.
She explained: “The most likely reason is due to some sort of mutation or something that occurred in the growth hormone or the growth-hormone receptors.”
