Unknown gunmen kidnap Goodluck Jonathan's cousin

A cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Jephthah Robert has been kidnapped by gun-wielding men suspected to be kidnappers.

Naija News gathered Robert was kidnapped in front of his house in Bayelsa State around 9.30pm on Tuesday.

He was said to have been abducted in front of his house located around Dimrose Road in Yenegoa, the State capital.

As at the time of filing this report, the details about his kidnap were still sketchy but the spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, SP Asinim Butswat confirmed the incident.

He added that operatives have been mobilized to rescue the victim and arrest the suspects.

Butswat said, “He was picked up at Dimrose Road in Yenagoa. We are intensifying effort to rescue him and arrest the kidnappers.

“We are working on a promising lead.”
