Britney Spears' father ordered to appear in court over 13-year conservatorship

Britney Spears ‘ father Jamie Spears has been ordered to appear in court to face questioning over his actions in the pop star’s legal conservatorship.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered the 70-year-old to take part in a deposition on Wednesday (July 13), following 13 years as the head of the conservatorship involving his daughter.

According to Page Six, Judge Brenda Penny ruled Jamie must schedule a deposition by August 12, as well as produce all documents requested by the singer’s lawyers.

Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart previously hit out at the father-of-three for allegedly “running and hiding” from his own deposition and “accounting for his misconduct — under oath — as required by law.”
