KANO – The Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adebayo Adewole, on Tuesday cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Nigerians would not tolerate any plans to postpone the forthcoming general election.
Adebayo Adewole, who inaugurated the Kano SDP gubernatorial candidate and other elective positions, said the electoral commission has no excuse, but to ensure that the forthcoming elections are conducted as scheduled.
Adewile explained that, “INEC is a well-funded entity of government and today they are even competing with some states in terms of financial strength, so they have no excuse whatsoever but make the election a huge reality.”
The SDP presidential candidate said APC the government has succeeded in playing a comedy show in the last eight years of their governance which plunged the Nation into a more devastating position.
He said, “The ruling All Progressive Congress has not only failed woefully but succeeded in creating poverty and insecurity among the citizens.”
Adewole stressed, “Because of these glaring failures, what the government does now is to create a comedy show and throw a bizarre election, but people are getting it, that is why we don’t have a problem with what they are doing”.
