Major shake-up as Navy reshuffles 57 officers

The Nigerian Navy has reshuffled the appointments of senior commanders, including 56 rear admirals and a Commodore.

This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, the Director of Information.

Among those affected is Rear Admiral Olusanya Bankole, the former Director of Logistics, Defence Space Administration, now the Chief of Communications and Information Technology, Naval Headquarters.

Others are Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu, formerly Director of Project Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation Directorate, Naval Headquarters, is now the Chief of Defence Civil Military Cooperation, Defence Headquarters, while Rear Admiral Kennedy Ezete, formerly Director of Project Monitoring, Defence Headquarters, returns as the Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters. Rear Admiral Livingstone Izu, formerly Director Manning at Naval Headquarters, has been appointed as the new Chief of Logistics at Naval Headquarters, while Rear Admiral Musa Madugu, formerly Deputy Director Special Operation Forces at Defence Headquarters, has been appointed as the Admiral Superintendent Naval Ordinance Depot.
