Arise TV host, Rufai Oseni, has described the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) saga involving the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, as ridiculous.

Naija News reports that the NYSC status of Musawa has remained an intense media discussion in the past few days following her swearing-in as one of the 45 ministers of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The management of NYSC had confirmed the claim of Musawa still undergoing her national youth service, saying the Minister didn’t complete her service when she was first mobilized for the scheme in 2003.

Amidst the controversies trailing the issue since the inauguration of Ministers, the presidency has remained mum on the subject.

However, some critics have said Musawa is not qualified to be appointed minister as a serving NYSC member.

Reacting to the development, Oseni, in a post via Twitter, averred there is no problem with President Tinubu having a NYSC member as a minister.

However, it would be a double strike for Musawa to collect NYSC allowance and ministerial salary.
