The Federal Ministry of Works announces completion of major parts of the first phase of Third Mainland Bridge rehabilitation.

Traffic will be diverted to Adeniji/Lagos Island-bound carriageway on February 22.

The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State confirms total overlay of asphalt on a bridge section. The completed phase signals progress in the comprehensive repair work.

The Oworonshoki-bound carriageway will be closed for six weeks. Once completed, the bridge won’t need repairs for five years.

The project includes replacing railings and installing solar-powered lights and CCTV cameras for enhanced security.

Repair work started on November 1 and is expected to last three months.
