Aviation Minister raises alarm over begging, extortion at Nigerian International airports

Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo has expressed concern about reports of staff begging and extorting travelers at international airports in Nigeria. In a Twitter post, Keyamo highlighted that these actions were tarnishing the country’s reputation and his phone was constantly buzzing with complaints from the public.

The Minister clarified that the agencies responsible for these practices were not under the control of the Aviation Ministry but were stationed at the airports. His comments suggest that the Nigerian government is aware of the issue and is taking steps to address it.
