Buhari mourns with NNPC Chief Kyari following daughter’s passing

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his heartfelt condolences to Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, following the tragic loss of his daughter, Fatima.

The young woman passed away on Friday at the age of 25 after a prolonged illness.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his media aide, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed his shock and sorrow at the news of Fatima’s death, acknowledging the profound impact of her loss on her family and friends.

“I am shocked and deeply pained to learn about the passing away of your daughter, Fatima. It is very painful to accept that she has left the world at such a tender age, but Allah, who gave her to you, knows best,” Buhari said.

The former president conveyed his deepest sympathies to Kyari and his family during this difficult time, stating, “My deepest and most heartfelt condolences are with your family in this hour of intense grief.”
