Suspected kidnapper nabbed, 2-year-old rescued in Kano operation

The Kano State Police Command has announced the arrest of a 25-year-old suspected kidnapper, Abubakar Musa, from Rijiyar Lemo Quarters, Kano. The command stated that the suspect was apprehended for kidnapping a two-year-old child, Al’amin Ahmad Garba, and demanding a ransom of fifty million naira for the victim’s release.

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command’s Public Relations Officer, said the arrest was made on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024.

He explained that the victim was rescued from a house in Unguwar Liman, Dorayi Quarters, Kano, where he had been hidden for three days.

SP Kiyawa further disclosed that the rescued victim was rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano, where he was treated and discharged.
