Terrorists attack Plateau village, kill five in Brutal assault

Suspected terrorists have killed at least five persons in Lighitlubang village in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The attack, which occurred on Friday night, was allegedly carried out by suspected terrorists. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers stormed the village while residents were sleeping and slaughtered the victims.

One of the villagers, Moses Bankat, confirmed the incident to PUNCH Online in Jos on Saturday.

He said, “It happened yesterday at about midnight of 31/01/2025. Some suspected terrorists entered Lighitlubang village in Bungha District of Mangu Local Government and killed a family of five people, a man, his wife and a child with another man and wife all slaughtered.”
