Anambra state government says N68 billion of the total estimated N170 billion budget for 2022 financial year will be sourced from the capital market.
Chiamaka Nnake, Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning, and Development Partners in Anambra said this on Tuesday at the breakdown of the Revised 2022 Budget presented by Governor Charles Soludo to the State House of Assembly last week.
The amount represented 40 per cent of the total outlay, while Internally Generated Revenue and Federal Allocation would provide N61.2 billion and N40.8 billion, representing 36 per cent and 24 per cent, respectively.
Ms Nnake said the budget, which was increased from initial N142 billion to N170 billion, made provision of 64 per cent for capital projects, as against 57 per cent in the old budget, while recurrent expenditures merely increased by 0.79 per cent.
