‘Bomb threat’ against Jet2 holiday plane sparks mid-air panic: RAF fighters race to intercept Airbus A-321 over Essex

  • A Jet2 flight from Dalaman to Manchester has been diverted to Stansted tonight
  • The aircraft was escorted in by two Typhoons scrambled from RAF Coningsby 
  • It is reported that there was a ‘bomb threat’ made against the aircraft in mid-air
  • Hours later the aircraft remains on a remote stand away from the terminal
