The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate for Enugu state, come 2023, Barrister Chijoke Edeoga, has said that he would reduce the cost of governance if voted into power.
Edeoga also said that he would appoint both indigenes and non-indigenes into his cabinet.
The governorship hopeful who disclosed this at a townhall meeting organised by the management of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), on Tuesday, said that he did not see the need for a long convoy, pointing out that a governor should not have more than four vehicles in his convoy to save cost for other needs.
“I’ll reduce the cost of governance. The money used in procuring many vehicles should be used for other things. A governor should not have more than four vehicles in his convoy,” he said.
Edeoga who said that throughout his career as a politician, he had not been accused of fraud, adding that he would expand his tentacles while giving appointments into his cabinet even in the area…
