Wife of the Osun State Governor, Kafayat Oyetola, has led over 10,000 women in the state in march for the 2023 presidential bid of Bola Hammed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima in Osogbo, the state capital.
The Osun first lady, who vowed that the social political group Akoni Obinrin (brave women) will prevent overvoting across the state in 2023, noted that the scenario will not be condoned as allegedly recorded during the 2022 Osun governorship election.
The over five kilometres road walk which started at Government House ran through, Oke-Fia, Alekuwodo, Ola-Iya, Odi-Olowo, Isale Aro, Station road, Old Garage terminated at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park where APC leaders rallied support for the party’s flagbearer and his running mate.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the marathon match, Mrs Oyetola said, “this movement of Akoni Obinrin (Brave women) is a movement to deliver victory for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. We are targeting 1 million votes for Tinubu/Shettima in 2023….
