I was not sacked, i resigned as NNPP chairman – Kure

Sequel to rumours that the Kaduna State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Mr. Ben Kure was sacked by the State working committee of the party, he has denied being sacked but insisted that he resigned his position following undue interference.
Kure while addressing a press conference in Kaduna said, he tendered his resignation letter to the national secretariat of the party since December 6, 2022.
On why he resigned, je alleged that the governorship candidate of the party, Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, among other unconstitutional interferences, did not allow him to operate freely for the betterment of the party in the State.
However when contacted for reaction, Senator Hunkuyi simply said, “I have no comment”.
It will be recalled that Kure who was ‘removed’ on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 following a vote of no confidence passed on him by the State working committee of the NNPP at its meeting and deliberations also said he had resigned his position before the…
