WWE legend Jerry “The King” Lawler shared an update with fans on Wednesday after suffering a stroke at his Florida home earlier this week.

The 73-year-old former professional wrestler confirm to his 1.4 million Twitter followers that he had a “massive stroke” as he thanked fans for their prayers and support.

“Update on Jerry: After suffering a massive Stroke Monday,” the tweet from the wrestling commentator’s verified account read. “He is now recovering in a Fort Myers, Florida hospital.”

“His speech is limited, but with rehabilitation will regain a full recovery,” the message added. “He thanks everyone for the continued prayers and will be back in the near future.”
