Southern Kaduna, Plateau killlings not Buhari’s problem; started 1980: Femi Adesina

SOUTHERN KADUNA VIOLENCE and PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI

President Muhammadu Buhari cannot be blamed for the incessant Southern Kaduna and Plateau violence. They started in 1980.

This is according to his media aide Femi Adesina in an interview aired Wednesday night on Channels TV.

“You talked about Southern Kaduna. You talked about Jos. These are endemic problems in the country,” Mr Adesina explained. “Endemic problem areas. Those are not the same as insurgency or banditry. Those problems have been there.”

Speaking further, Mr Adesina argued that the wanton Killings in the two areas predated Mr Buhari’s regime.

Southern Kaduna problem started as far back as 1980. It has occurred almost every year. Jos crisis started under Babangida, and it occurs almost every year,” the presidential aide stressed.
