The immediate past Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has disclosed that less than N3 billion was expended on the Nigeria Air project.
Sirika disclosed this on Sunday during an Arise Television interview monitored by DAILY POST.
The former minister debunked claims that N85 billion was spent on the Nigeria Air project.
According to him, the claim is baseless and false.
He explained that the bulk of the expended funds were channelled into consultancies, salaries, and administrative costs associated with setting up the national carrier.
The Nigeria Air project has been mired in controversy, as the Senate and House of Representatives have described it as fraud and a gimmick.
