To help tackle the challenge of portable water in Ewutuntun and Mafoluku communities of Lagos, the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company has inaugurated borehole projects in two schools in the communities.
According to a statement from the company, it also provided power-generating sets to power the boreholes.
The first project, which is located at State Primary School, Ewutuntun, will serve the school, Community Primary School, Ewu and State Primary School, Mafoluku.
The second borehole project, which is located at Ewu Primary School, Ewutuntun, will also serve Methodist Primary School, Ewutuntun.
Speaking at the inauguration of the boreholes, the Group Managing Director/CEO of NAHCO, Mr Indranil Gupta, noted that the projects would address the challenge of hygienic water that the pupils were facing.
Gupta said, “The borehole project is one that would provide water for the children in the schools and those who will come after them.”
